Lake Biwa
Lake Biwa is the largest freshwater lake in Japan, which is located in the center of Shiga Prefecture and occupies about one sixth of the prefecture.
Due to its large area, Lake Biwa offers various sceneries of beauty in different areas. There are many temples and shrines, and cultural facilities in the southern part, and abundance of nature in the northern part.
